The vegetation, and flora of Knedbrahma region of north Gujarat are discussed and the preliminary data based on two years survey are presented in this paper. 554 species have been enumerated which comprised 448 dicotyledons and 102 monocotyledons. Two new records for India namely, Desmodium neo-mexicanum A. Gray and Dalechampia scandens Linn. var. cordofana (Hochst.) Muell.-Arg. have been reported from this area under study. Five species such as Polycarpon tetraphyllum Linn., Melhania futteyporensis Munro ex Mast., Indigofera angulosa Edgew., Pulicaria crispa (Forsk.) Oliv. and Operculina petaloidea (Ghoisy) Van Oost., not mentioned in Cooke's flora of Presidency of Bombay (1901-1908) have been reported from the area.- A Contribution to the Flora and Vegetation of Kawant Range, Gujarat State, Indla

The present paper is a resuit of the exploration of entire Kawant range of the Chhotaudepur forest division, Gujarat State, dwing 1967-1969. The forests are of the dry deciduous type with Tectona grandis as the dominant species. In all 552 plants have been listed. Of these 444 belong to the dicotyledons and 108 to the monocotyledons. The dicotyledons are distributed within 82 families and 299 genera. The monocotyledons are distributed within 20 families and 68 genera. 83 plants not reported in Santapau's 'The flora of Saurashtra-Check list (1967)' have been incorporated in this paper.- Notes on the Genus Spergula from Gujarat State, India
